seymour-duncan-11828-628
Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa Pawn Shop Special 1961 P90 Pickup Set (Standard)

In 2010, while on tour, Joe Bonamassa found a 1961 SG Special in a pawn shop. It was a clean example of a first-year SG Special, and its pickups started his love of P90s. This set is the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop's first P90 collaboration with Joe, and it recreates the soapbar P90s from that guitar.

These P90s sit between a single coil and a humbucker: articulate and responsive, with plenty of bark when overdriven. Alnico 4 magnets and a custom wind give the airy top end and sizzle of the originals. Seymour Duncan made a historically accurate dimpled P90 bottom plate for this set, and the pickups are wax potted for live use. This is the standard edition of the set.

Features

Recreates the P90s of Joe Bonamassa's 1961 SG Special

Alnico 4 magnets and a custom wind

Historically accurate dimpled P90 bottom plate

Wax potted

Built in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop

Specifications

Type: P90 soapbar pickup set

Pickups: Neck and bridge

Magnets: Alnico 4

DC resistance: Neck 7.8k, Bridge 8.4k

Cable: 1-conductor braided

Potting: Wax potted

Edition: Standard
