seymour-duncan-11828-121
Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa Bolin Burst Humbucker Pickup Set

Tommy Bolin, known for his work with Deep Purple, James Gang and Zephyr, played a 1960 Les Paul known as the Bolin Burst throughout his career. Joe Bonamassa bought the guitar after a 10-year search, and the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop reverse engineered its original P.A.F. humbuckers to make this set.

Alnico 2 magnets give the set a sweet vintage voice. The bridge pickup sounds dynamic and barky, and the neck pickup is warm and clear, especially through an overdriven amp. The pickups are unpotted, with vintage-correct long-leg construction. Part of the proceeds from each set goes to the Tommy Bolin Endowment and the Tommy Bolin Memorial Fund.

Features

Recreates the P.A.F. humbuckers of the 1960 Bolin Burst Les Paul

Alnico 2 magnets in both pickups

Unpotted, long-leg vintage-correct construction

Built in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop

Specifications

Type: Humbucker set

Pickups: Neck and bridge

Magnets: Alnico 2

DC resistance: Neck 8.66k, Bridge 8.13k

Cable: 1-conductor braided

Potting: Unpotted

Construction: Long-leg, vintage correct
