seymour-duncan-11402-32
Seymour Duncan 70's Music Man Alnico 5 Bass Pickup (5-String)

The 70's Music Man Alnico 5 pickup captures the feel and warmth of the original 1970s StingRay pickups. Oversized Alnico 5 rod magnets and Seymour Duncan's coil windings extend the response at both the treble and bass ends. Compared with the ceramic version it is warmer on the bottom and more detailed on top. It suits funk, rock and slap playing.

This is the 5-string version (SMB-5A), voiced to keep the vintage warmth with a low B string and a little more top and bottom. It drops into 5-string Music Man StingRay basses and comes with a black cover.

Features

Oversized Alnico 5 rod magnets

Warmer lows and more detailed highs than the ceramic version

4-conductor lead wire

Forbon flatwork

Vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Model: SMB-5A

Strings: 5

Type: Passive humbucker

Magnet: Oversized Alnico 5 rods

Cable: 4-conductor shielded

Color: Black
