The STL-3 lead is Seymour Duncan's highest-output Tele single coil. Its hand-polished 1/4 inch Alnico 5 rod magnets give a big sound with an almost P90-like growl, fat leads and chords rich in sparkly midrange harmonics.

The STR-3 rhythm pickup matches the lead in tone and output and uses 3/16 inch pole pieces. Its overwound coil has a strong midrange that cuts through any mix without sounding bright or brash, for big chords and full, fat lead tones.

Features

High-output true single coils for a Telecaster

Hand-polished Alnico 5 rod magnets

Forbon flatwork

Deep-drawn chrome-plated Telecaster cover on the neck pickup

Wax potted for squeal-free performance

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Model: STL-3 (bridge), STR-3 (neck)

Type: Passive single coil

Strings: 6

Output: High

Magnet: Alnico 5 rods, 1/4 inch on the bridge, 3/16 inch on the neck

DC resistance: Neck 11.75k, bridge 16.95k

Lead wire: PVC lead wire

In the Box

STL-3 Quarter Pound Tele Lead bridge pickup

STR-3 Quarter Pound Tele Rhythm neck pickup
