Hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and a moderate wind of heavy Formvar wire give a bright, punchy tone with vintage output. Compared with the APS-1 it has a more focused bell tone with a lighter bass response.

It suits country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock, especially with clean and mildly overdriven amp settings. It works in the neck, middle or bridge position and has a removable black cover with the Seymour Duncan logo.

Features

True single coil for 7-string guitars

Staggered pole pieces

Hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets

Heavy Formvar magnet wire

Waxed cloth hookup wire

Vintage-style keyed bottom plate

Removable black cover with Seymour Duncan logo

Specifications

Model: SSL-1 7-String

Type: Passive single coil

Position: Neck, middle or bridge

Strings: 7

Output: Vintage

Magnet: Alnico 5 rods

DC resistance: 7.5k

Lead wire: Waxed cloth

Color: Black
