seymour-duncan-11107-01-7str
Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 Model 7-String Humbucker Pickup (Neck, Black)

The '59 Model is a vintage-output humbucker in the P.A.F. tradition, and this is the 7-string passive mount version. Its vintage-style coils give it an airy sound, while the alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting suit lighter strings and louder amps than were used in the 1950s.

This is the neck model. It is warm and versatile, with sweet sustain and a full sound that keeps a clear attack, so big chords sound rich and leads sound full. The top end is slightly boosted for pick clarity and the mids are slightly scooped.

Features

Vintage-output P.A.F.-style humbucker for 7-string guitars

Alnico 5 bar magnet

Nickel silver bottom plate

4-conductor lead wire for coil splitting and other wiring options

Vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Model: SH-1n '59 Model, 7-string

Type: Passive humbucker

Position: Neck

Strings: 7

Mount: Passive mount

Magnet: Alnico 5 bar

Cable: 4-conductor shielded

Color: Black
