seymour-duncan-11106-152-p-blk-7str
Seymour Duncan alt.metal Blackouts Active Humbucker Pickup (Set, 7-String, Passive Mount)

The alt.metal Blackouts are active humbuckers voiced for alternative metal, built for detailed, heavy riffs in lower tunings. They keep the crunch of the original Blackouts, tighten the low end and refine the top end so it cuts without harshness. They are quiet and clean, and they keep more of the guitar's own character than typical active pickups.

This set pairs the neck and bridge pickups. The bridge brings out the percussive attack of palm-muted notes, and the neck gives a clear clean tone that gains aggressive mids and sustain at higher gain. This version is the 7-string passive mount size.

Features

Active humbucker voiced for alternative metal and low tunings

Tighter low end than the original Blackouts

Refined top end that cuts without harshness

Rich harmonics and a broad frequency range

Quiet, clean operation

Quick-connector cables plug straight into guitars already wired for active pickups with quick-connector cables

Specifications

Model: alt.metal Blackouts

Type: Active humbucker

Position: Neck and bridge set

Strings: 7

Mount: Passive mount

Cable: Single conductor plus battery wire

Color: Black

In the Box

Neck and bridge pickups

Pots, mounting hardware, quick-connector cables, capacitor, output jack, battery clip and wire
