They keep the crunch of the original Blackouts, tighten the low end and refine the top end so it cuts without harshness. They are quiet and clean, and they keep more of the guitar's own character than typical active pickups.

This is the neck pickup. It gives a clear clean tone and picks up aggressive mids and extra sustain as the gain goes up. This version is the 7-string active mount, in a soapbar housing.

Features

Active humbucker voiced for alternative metal and low tunings

Tighter low end than the original Blackouts

Refined top end that cuts without harshness

Rich harmonics and a broad frequency range

Quiet, clean operation

Specifications

Model: alt.metal Blackouts

Type: Active humbucker

Position: Neck

Strings: 7

Mount: Active mount, soapbar housing

Cable: Single conductor plus battery wire

Color: Black
