The magnet's soft treble attack and low string pull, with a vintage-output coil wind, give a warm, smooth tone with natural sustain that responds closely to pick attack. It suits blues, classic rock, jazz and slide, and players who get their drive from the amp. Slash used these pickups on Appetite for Destruction.

The APH-1n is the neck model, with a nickel cover. Its highs sound thick and sing, and its lows are warm and full.

Features

Alnico 2 bar magnet with a vintage-output coil wind

Warm, smooth tone with natural sustain

Nickel silver bottom plate

4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options

Wax potted to prevent squeal

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Model: APH-1n Alnico II Pro

Position: Neck

Strings: 6

Output: Vintage

DC resistance: 7.5k

Magnet: Alnico 2 bar

Bottom plate: Nickel silver

Cable: 4-conductor shielded

Type: Passive

Color: Nickel Cover
