seymour-duncan-11103-15-nc
Seymour Duncan Alex Skolnick Signature Bridge Trembucker Pickup (Nickel Cover)

Alex Skolnick came up in the late 80s as the teenage guitarist in the thrash band Testament and later moved into jazz with the Alex Skolnick Trio. His signature humbuckers began as a Custom Shop made-to-order set designed with him for his signature guitar.

The bridge pickup is wound hot and voiced to emphasize the midrange, to suit his expressive melodies and aggressive palm muting. Trembucker spacing sets the pole pieces wider apart so they sit under the strings on guitars with a tremolo or a wide-spaced hardtail bridge, where the low E to high E distance over the bridge pickup is 2 inches or more. This version has a nickel cover.

Features

Hot-wound bridge humbucker

Midrange-focused voicing

Rough cast Alnico 5 magnet

4-conductor cable

Trembucker spacing

Specifications

Model: Alex Skolnick Signature

Position: Bridge

Spacing: Trembucker (F-spaced)

Strings: 6

DC resistance: 19.1k

Magnet: Alnico 5, rough cast

Cable: 4-conductor shielded

Type: Passive

Color: Nickel Cover
