seymour-duncan-11102-95-a-sb-7str
Seymour Duncan Pegasus Active Mount Bridge Humbucker Pickup with Black Soapbar Cover (7-String)

The Pegasus is a moderate-output bridge humbucker for progressive and modern metal. It was first built for 7- and 8-string guitars, with an Alnico 5 bar magnet and custom windings for a warm, balanced, lush tone with a strong midrange and a focused low end. Its high resonant peak gives a sparkly top end and lets chords bloom under high gain.

Pick attack is quick and accurate, so it cuts through a live mix and tracks tightly in the studio. Because the output is moderate, it works for clean sounds as well as distortion. Pair it with the Sentient neck pickup. This version has a black soapbar cover with one row of exposed poles for a modern active look, and it drops into any 7-string guitar with an active pickup rout. It is a passive pickup.

Features

Moderate output for clean and high-gain sounds

Alnico 5 bar magnet with custom windings

Strong midrange, focused low end and a sparkly top end

Accurate pick attack for live and studio use

Black soapbar cover with one row of exposed poles

Fits 7-string guitars with an active pickup rout

Nickel silver bottom plate

4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options

Vacuum wax potted to prevent squeal

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Model: Pegasus Active Mount

Position: Bridge

Strings: 7

Mount: Active-size soapbar

Magnet: Alnico 5 bar

DC resistance: 14.9k

Output: Moderate

Type: Passive humbucker

Lead wire: 4-conductor shielded

Bottom plate: Nickel silver

Cover: Black soapbar with exposed poles

Made in: Santa Barbara, California, USA
