seymour-duncan-11102-18-b
Seymour Duncan Dave Mustaine Thrash Factor Bridge Humbucker Pickup (Black)

The Thrash Factor is Dave Mustaine's signature bridge humbucker. While recording Megadeth's 1990 album Rust In Peace, Dave relied on one guitar with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, and that JB had a tone of its own that became part of his signature sound. Seymour Duncan worked with Dave to recreate it and changed the winding process to get there.

Compared to the standard JB, the Thrash Factor has a tighter low end, slightly scooped mids and more aggressive highs. It is a high-output passive humbucker, hand built in Santa Barbara, California. This is the bridge pickup in black for standard humbucker spacing.

Features

Dave Mustaine signature bridge humbucker

Based on the JB from Dave's main guitar on Rust In Peace

Tighter lows, slightly scooped mids and more aggressive highs than a standard JB

High-output passive design

4-conductor shielded cable

Hand built in Santa Barbara, California

Specifications

Type: Passive humbucker

Position: Bridge

Strings: 6

Spacing: Standard humbucker

Output: High

DC resistance: 16.4k

Cable: 4-conductor shielded

Color: Black

In the Box

Pickup

Mounting hardware
