Turn it 90 degrees and the Core 59 can lie on its side with the drivers still time-aligned, so one model covers left, right and center positions in 5.1, 7.1, 9.1.2 and Dolby Atmos systems. For a center channel the woofer can sit above or below the baffle. Position 1 chooses Anechoic, Desk or Soffit, Position 2 corrects the bass for a wall or corner within 50 cm, and the Sound Balance switch tilts the whole response by 1.5 dB at each end toward Bright or Dark while keeping the phase between the drivers intact. A Bass Extension switch adds an 80 Hz high-pass filter with time alignment for use with a Core Sub or Core Sub Compact.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA four-position switch matches the analog input to the maximum output of your interface or console, from 0 to +24 dBu. A second switch sets the level a -20 dBFS signal produces at 1 m (85, 91, 96 or 105 dB), so every Core speaker in a room can share one calibrated reference.
