blackstar-unity120
Blackstar Unity 120 Bass Amplifier

The Blackstar Unity 120 is a 120 W bass combo for practice, rehearsal and recording. A custom-designed 12-inch Eminence Opus speaker carries three preamp voices, a 3-band EQ with a sweepable Mid and a built-in compressor, which cover everything from vintage growl to clean, modern tones. A Cabinet Link output adds a Unity 250ACT active cabinet when you need more volume.

Voices, EQ and Effects

Three preamp voices set the starting point. Classic has a tube-inspired growl, Modern gives high headroom with punchy dynamics, and Overdrive adds a smooth, open drive with a harmonically rich bite. The Low control works at 80 Hz and the High at 5 kHz, while the Mid sweeps from 200 Hz to 2 kHz for anything from a scooped sound to one that cuts through a band. A Pad switch matches the input to passive or active pickups, and a clip light helps you set the Gain. Chorus and the fixed-threshold compressor each have their own switch, and an optional 2-button latching footswitch such as the FS-8 switches Overdrive and Chorus.

Practice, Recording and More Power

The balanced XLR line out feeds a PA, mixer or audio interface, and the 1/4-inch line out doubles as a headphone jack. Both follow their own Line Out Level control, and they keep working with the Master turned to zero for silent practice. The 3.5 mm MP3/Line In plays music through the speaker and line outputs so you can play along. The Cabinet Link XLR output connects one or more Unity 250ACT active cabinets, each adding up to 250 W through a 15-inch Eminence speaker.

Features

120 W bass combo with a custom-designed 12-inch Eminence Opus speaker

Three voices: Classic, Modern and Overdrive

3-band EQ with a semi-parametric Mid

Chorus and compressor, each with its own switch

Overdrive and Chorus switchable from an optional 2-button latching footswitch

Input Gain with clip light, and a Pad switch for active or passive basses

Balanced XLR line out with ground lift

1/4-inch line out and headphone jack with independent level control

3.5 mm MP3/Line In for playing along

Cabinet Link output for Unity 250ACT active cabinets

Specifications

Power: 120 W RMS

Speaker: 1 x 12" Eminence Opus, custom designed

Controls: Gain, Pad, Voice, Low, Mid, Frequency, High, Chorus, Compressor, Master Volume

EQ: Low ±10 dB at 80 Hz, Mid ±12 dB from 200 Hz to 2 kHz, High ±15 dB at 5 kHz

Inputs: 1/4" instrument, 3.5 mm MP3/Line In

Outputs: Balanced XLR line out with ground lift, 1/4" line out/headphones, Line Out Level control, XLR Cabinet Link

Footswitch: Optional 2-button latching footswitch (FS-8 or equivalent), sold separately

Dimensions (W x H x D): 445 x 515 x 325 mm (17.5 x 20.3 x 12.8 in)

Weight: 15 kg (33.1 lbs)

Optional Accessories

Blackstar FS-8 2-button footswitch

Blackstar Unity 250ACT active bass cabinet
