blackstar-art-fr-stnd
Blackstar Artist FR Standard Powered FRFR Cabinet

The Blackstar Artist FR Standard is a compact 50 W powered 1x12 FRFR (full-range, flat-response) cabinet for guitarists who play through a modeler, profiler or pedal-format amp. Blackstar designed it to feel and respond like a guitar amp while reproducing amp models, captures and IRs accurately, using a custom flat-response speaker and its own cabinet and power amp designs. The Standard suits home and studio players and has enough power for smaller gigs.

EQ Voiced for Guitar

Bass, Middle and Treble form an active EQ with a center detent on each control, so the cabinet stays neutral until a room, a stage or a monitoring position calls for a correction. Presence trims the top end with a low-pass filter. Adjusting the cab this way leaves your modeler patches untouched from venue to venue. A Clip LED lights if the incoming level or the volume pushes the preamp or power amp too hard.

Connections and Setup

The combo input on the back takes a line-level signal on 1/4-inch TS/TRS or XLR. The XLR output passes that signal on to a PA, mixer or interface, buffered and balanced like a DI, and the EQ and volume do not affect it. A ground lift switch deals with hum. The kickstand swings out to tilt the cabinet back for monitoring, and a Kensington slot lets you lock it to a fixed point.

Features

50 W powered 1x12 FRFR cabinet

Custom flat-response speaker

Active 3-band EQ with center detents, plus Presence

Clip LED watches both the preamp and power amp

XLR/1/4" combo line input

Buffered, balanced XLR output with ground lift

Built-in kickstand for tilt-back monitoring

Universal 100 to 240 V mains input

Kensington security slot

Specifications

Power: 50 W

Speaker: 1 x 12" custom full-range, flat-response

Controls: Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Power

EQ range: Bass +/-6 dB at 80 Hz, Middle +/-9 dB at 850 Hz, Treble +/-11 dB at 12 kHz

Presence: Variable passive low-pass filter

Input: XLR/1/4" TS/TRS combo jack, line level

Output: XLR, electronically balanced, unaffected by EQ and volume, with ground lift

Mains: IEC inlet, 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz

Dimensions: 461 x 387 x 230 mm (18.1 x 15.2 x 9.1 in)

Weight: 10.72 kg (23.6 lbs)
